Thermal insulation

The use of AAC, which has very good thermal insulation parameters, is a very good solution and method for building energy-efficient buildings. The parameter describing the material is the thermal conductivity coefficient λ. This is the amount of heat that in specified conditions flows through 1 m2 of the surface of uniform layer of 1 m thick material when the temperature difference between both surfaces of the layer is equal to 1 K. The smaller the value of the coefficient, the better insulating properties the material has.

Another parameter that characterizes partition in terms of thermal insulation is heat transfer coefficient U. It determines the amount of constant stream of heat flowing through 1 m2 of the surface of the partition separating two centers at a 1 K temperature difference of both centers. The smaller value of this coefficient, the better the partition insulates heat. To sum up: the smaller the value of lambda and U coefficient, the better.

Blocks with thickness from 365 cm to 420 cm and density class of 0.4 are used for single-layer exterior walls. In the first case, the coefficient U = 0.27 W/(m2·K) and U = 0.23 W/(m2·K) is obtained - for walls from 42 cm blocks. As seen above, these are the parameters for partitions in energy-efficient buildings. The buildings constructed in this way are not only energy efficient during use, but also during construction.
